If at any time you have concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to e-mail, send a note with your child, or call. Mr. Purcell sends out weekly email newsletters, but I also have a class blog available at: http://mrsschneiders23class.blogspot.com where I will post updates, upcoming events, and other important information. If you do not have internet access, please let me know and I will make sure to send a paper copy home with your child.
Welcome!
A warm welcome to Miss White, our student teacher from Linfield College in McMinnville. She will be with us through May and will be helping in the daily business of our classroom and teaching all subject areas during her experience with us.
Birthdays – March 2011 
We have 2 birthdays to celebrate this month and since both are after Spring Break we will celebrate on Tuesday, March 29th at 12:40. Weston Vaughn will be celebrating his birthday on March 27th and Julia Campsey on March 31st. Happy Birthday, Weston & Julia!
Continuing Units of Study
We began a new unit of geography unit about Landforms. The students have built their islands and are beginning to plan the landforms and details of their islands. We will continue to work on their islands for the next couple of weeks and then they will bring their islands home.
Book Fair & Dr. Seuss’s Birthday
The Spring Book Fair is this week, February 28 – March 4th. Dr. Seuss’s Birthday is also celebrated this week on Wednesday! Bring your favorite Dr. Seuss book/s in for your silent reading time on WednesdayJ

Wednesday & Friday of every week will be a sharing day. Please keep the schedule below as a reminder of when your child’s sharing day is. If there is no school or a new month begins on a Friday, please have your sharing at school on the Monday of your sharing week.
